It was in 1968 that he designed and made the first automatic paint spray-gun named spraycolor. At first this innovation was used in the tanning industry for belt coating machines, and after a short it time it was adopted by the leading spray booth manufacturers of that period.

That first model began the history of the small company, which in 1978 - thanks to the work of the present owner Giorgio Pironi, Carlo’s son - started off a trend aimed at penetrating sectors other than the tanning industry for its production.
In the late eighties the company offered the market an innovative spray-gun capable of working at very low pressures without jeopardizing the high level of finish. This design was named Venturi Sistem 01 and it started to enjoy a rapid escalation after just a few months. Permanently named VS02 later on, it is still in production today and is a must in the HVLP processing field in many countries.
The continual quest for perfection later led to the designing of a multi-hole head suitable for the finishing of leather and specific for that purpose. It was named S for special, to distinguish it from the majority of heads on the market which were pressed and inaccurate.
By then, the company had become an undisputed technical benchmark. In order to protect itself and its customers, it was decided to patent all innovations in spray-guns and accessorieses and to ensure the uniqueness of spraycolor products and the brand  by registering the latter as a trademark to offer users a guarantee.
Recent years have seen a further very important strategic turning point – collaboration with the global giant Mitsubishi in order to offer customers solutions characterised by very high precision and automation, and to have the company enter other technology sectors such as electronics and integrated automation connected with the automotive industry.
At the present time, spray-guns such as the XSD, the more recent MT and the plus PVD kits have made history in leather finishing and continue to do so, with their models being put forward for a wide range of performance.
Do not be surprised that the leading companies manufacturing spay systems use spraycolor products, in the knowledge that they can count on excellent technical staff with a technical background spanning over forty years.
Today spraycolor has succeeded in operating in a wide range of sectors, by applying a rigid production protocol that begins with the selection of high-quality materials and continues with production standards that can be reproduced with absolute precision over the years. The company’s mission is reliability, performance and ease of maintenance, and will always continue to be so. It is no coincidence that our brochure states that
“we invent the future”.
